Re-imagining of an existing office building on the Seattle waterfront. With the loss of the original tenant after 30+ years the structure needed to find a new identity for a new era of tenant. The original design read as a heavy black glass box with only a small recessed entry point that did not clearly articulate pedestrian vs. vehicular access. To create a strong street presence the existing recess has been exposed to sky allowing the new 3-story building lobby to be clearly seen from the street. A new 6,000sf roof deck with uninterrupted views will provide tenants with ample opportunities to witness year round activity on the waterfront.
